The New Season (part II)

Welcome to 2013, how's it been so far? At PLE HQ we did not have hot water until 9th January, so it's been extra cold for us. This is not related to the fact that this year we have decided to skip January's edition of PLE. It's traditionally one to ease back into the year, and we decided that we would just come back at full pelt - PLE is not a place for half measures as regular attendees will attest. We have booked up until Summer 2013, you'll find the dates below and will see that we have decided to miss out May this year, before going out for the season in June as is traditional:

Friday 8th February 2013

Friday 15th March 2013

Friday 19th April 2013

Friday 21st June 2013

The new season ('12-'13)

We are very happy to announce that we over at PLE HQ have booked dates to ensure that Oxford's best indie disco enters it's third year.
We are back after a summer (if that's what you call it) spent wasting, and a bit of a bus man's holiday DJ-ing at Truck.
We hope you will join us for an Autumnal "boogie" at the now familiar surrounds of Baby Love on King Edward Street:

Friday 12th October 2012
Friday 9th November 2012
Friday 14th December 2012

Dates for 2013 to follow and as ever, on the above dates the night will run from 23:00-03:00

See you then

11/12 season done + Truck news

Hello all,
As you may know, at the weekend we finished with PLE for the Summer and will now be compiling playlists and debating the merits of crossfades until September. Except....this year our now traditional Summer break will be interrupted by a special PLE set at Truck Festival!
We are all very excited having been truck regulars over the years. We will be playing a set following the bands finishing on Friday evening, 20th July so get down there for a "boogie".
Details regarding times etc are to be announced but you can find out more about the festival and/or get a ticket over at the official truck website. Hope to see you there!

Thanks be to Nevin....

Well, what a November...in PLE terms that is.
For those of you who came, many thanks. For those that missed out we pity you, but in a nice way.
Our much awaited guest DJ Pat Nevin played a storming set and Baby Love bar was packed to the rafters. We at HQ has been suggesting that it was the best PLE yet.
Pat described it as "grand fun" and said everyone was a "great bunch". We think that's it's likely Pat will be back in the future, just look how happy he is to be sat with the whole PLE crew below:

So old friends and new, be sure to pop down on Friday 16th December for our Christmas special and see if we play more than 3 Christmas songs between us - it may take some badgering.
